Coffs Gas Company supplies, installs, services and repairs commercial gas cooking equipment across the Coffs Coast. We look after restaurants, pubs, cafes, clubs, motels and food trucks, and we have been licensed gasfitters here since 1982. Most suppliers will only sell you a fryer. We are the team that comes back and fixes it too.
If it runs on gas and it lives in a commercial kitchen, we work on it. That covers a single stove swap, an add-on to a kitchen you already have, or a full new fit-out from bare walls. Servicing and repairs make up most of our commercial work, which is the part many equipment suppliers leave to someone else.
Coffs Harbour is LPG only, so every appliance we supply is set up to run on it. If you have bought equipment configured for natural gas, we convert it before it goes in. Commercial equipment is ordered to suit your kitchen rather than pulled off a showroom floor, and lead times usually sit at five to ten working days.
We are gas specialists, so we do not take on the electrical side. Where a unit has electrical components, we bring in a licensed electrician and coordinate it for you. Our gasfitting and appliance installation teams handle the rest, from gas runs and isolation valves to final commissioning and compliance.
We service commercial kitchens in Coffs Harbour, Scotts Head, Grafton, Dorrigo and surrounds.
Deep fryers, char grills, salamanders and griddles. These are the units we get called to most, and they are the ones that stop service dead when they fail.
Combi ovens, pizza ovens, upright stoves with ovens underneath, gas ranges and wok burners, sized and installed to suit your output and your bench layout.
Bain-maries and holding equipment, serviced so food goes out at the temperature it should.
We install and service banks of commercial Rinnai hot water units for venues, motels and care facilities, plus the gas dryers in motel laundries. We are Coffs Harbour's preferred Rinnai contractor.
New fit-outs, replacements and add-ons. We order the appliance in, run and isolate the gas, commission it and hand you the compliance paperwork.
We recommend a service every six months. We can put your kitchen on a schedule and get in touch when it is due, the same way we look after venues that book us in every three to four months.
For kitchens we look after regularly we aim to be on site within 24 to 48 hours, and around 90 per cent of commercial jobs are fixed on the first visit. After-hours and weekend work is available at a call-out rate.
We fit out and maintain food trucks, so your gas is compliant, isolated correctly and ready for inspection.
Supply, installation, servicing and repairs all come from one licensed team, so there is no chasing a supplier in another city when something fails.
Every gas job is carried out by licensed gasfitters and lodged with Building Commission NSW. Work is carried out by our licensed team, including Jay, our Head Gasfitter, who brings 17 years of experience.
Around 90 per cent of commercial call-outs are resolved on the first visit. If a job cannot wait, Jeff, one of our directors, keeps his phone on outside business hours.
As one of Australia's largest BOC agents we also handle your gas supply, including the CO₂, Cellamix and nitrogen hospitality venues run through the bar.

Yes. We service and repair commercial gas appliances no matter where they were bought, as long as the appliance is a certified gas appliance carrying a compliance label. We hold common parts and order model-specific parts in, including for brands we do not sell. See our repairs and maintenance service for what is covered.
Every six months. Commercial cooking equipment works harder and gets far dirtier than anything domestic, and regular servicing is the cheapest way to avoid a breakdown mid-service. We can put your kitchen on a schedule and contact you when it is due.
A gas certificate of compliance. Any gas work in New South Wales has to be lodged with Building Commission NSW, which we do through the BCNSW eCert portal within five business days of the job. You receive a copy for your records. Two other rules catch kitchens out: the appliance has to be a certified gas appliance carrying a compliance label, which you will find on its data plate along with the certification number, and each appliance needs its own isolation valve so one unit can be shut off without closing the whole kitchen.
For kitchens we service regularly we aim for 24 to 48 hours, and often sooner. For a first-time call it depends on how booked our team is that week. After-hours and weekend work is available and charged at a call-out rate, and Jeff keeps his phone on outside business hours to work out whether a job can wait until morning.
Dirty pilots. Grease, dust and carbon build up around the pilot assembly until the appliance will not light or will not stay lit. It is almost always preventable with regular servicing, which is why we push the six-month interval.
Usually five to ten working days from order. Commercial equipment is ordered in to suit your kitchen rather than stocked, so we confirm the lead time when we quote. Installation itself is often a single day, though a larger fit-out will take longer.
No, Coffs Harbour is LPG only. There is no natural gas connection here. Most commercial appliances configured for natural gas can be converted to LPG, and we handle that conversion as part of the installation. Send us the model number and we will confirm it before you order.
We do not fabricate them ourselves, because there are excellent local fabricators doing exactly that. If you want it handled as part of your job we will have it made up and coordinate it with your gas work, so you are not managing two trades.
We are gas specialists, so we do not take on electrical work or three-phase installations. Where a gas appliance has electrical components, we bring in a licensed electrician and manage it alongside our own work.
Give us a call on (02) 6652 2411 and we will get your commercial gas equipment supplied, installed, serviced or repaired by a licensed local team. Whether you need a fryer looked at this week or a full kitchen fit-out planned, talk to Coffs Gas Company first.
